Every general-purpose AI writing tool produces text quickly. Almost none of them can tell you which sentence is backed by a source, which is inference, and which is just confident phrasing—and almost none of them let you keep your research, your voice profile, and your drafts off a server you don’t control.
PluginPost started from a narrower, harder question: if your name and your reputation are attached to what gets published, what would a writing tool have to guarantee before you could trust it? The answer became the product—local-first storage, sentence-level claim verification, a truthful record of what left your machine, and a refusal to predict outcomes from data that doesn’t exist yet.
