Does my content ever leave my computer?
PluginPost is a desktop application. Drafts, research, voice profiles, and settings live in an on-device workspace. Generation can run entirely locally through Ollama, and a per-session Privacy Manifest records exactly which external services were contacted—fully local sessions report 100/100 with “nothing left your computer.”
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. The default offline mode needs no AI provider, no API key, and no account. You can research, draft, edit, and export without connecting. Local-model and cloud generation are optional and always clearly labeled.
How is this different from ChatGPT, Jasper, or Copy.ai?
Those are general-purpose chat windows or cloud writing surfaces. PluginPost is built for evidence-backed expert publishing: it validates keywords against public signals, grades your sources, checks the support behind each claim, and produces platform-native LinkedIn, X, and blog drafts. Your content is never used for training.
Do I need to pay for an AI subscription?
No. PluginPost works with no AI at all, with free local models through Ollama, or with your own Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, or GitHub Models keys. Your keys are encrypted on your machine and excluded from diagnostics.
Which platforms are supported?
Windows 11 and Ubuntu Linux, with a one-time license that includes 12 months of updates. A macOS build is not available yet.
Can it post to LinkedIn for me?
Deliberately not. Direct publishing would require your account tokens. Instead, the ready queue copies the due post and opens LinkedIn for your final review—keeping your credentials out of the application.
